Dr. Kim

Education: Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph

I graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph, in 1997. I started practicing in the Timmins area in the spring of 1998. I enjoy many aspects of my work including all the lengthy discussions on many health issues like arthritis, nutrition and longterm management strategies for medical conditions. I have a special interest in small animal orthopedics, laser surgery, therapy laser and equine medicine. Apart from work I have a busy family life with my husband Lawrence and 3 kids – Wyatt (17), Joshua (14) and Erin (12). Like most veterinarians I have many pets. I have an Irish Setter named Vegas, a golden retriever named Jasper, a boxer named Joe, and 2 horses Louis and Magoo.

Practice Manager

Debbie began working as receptionist at the Algonquin Boulevard Animal Hospital in 2007 and was instrumental in the switch to our new location and new name. She has a great love for animals and is proud to be working with such a great team striving towards common goals of helping owners and their pets. She enjoys educating clients on the health and well-being of their pets as well as being a part of the many success stories we see daily. Debbie loves going to camp in the summer for some fishing and a bonfire, and spending time with her husband and her cats, Brit and King Larry.

Book Keeper/Office Assistant

Liane has been with Hard Rock Animal Hospital since 2008, wearing a variety of hats (and stylish scarves). She keeps us running smoothly with her expertise and her overwhelmingly positive attitude, plus she picks up all the pens we need. Her favourite thing to do when she’s not crunching numbers, gardening, or spending time with her grandkids, is to make sure all our recovering surgical patients get extra love and attention.

Registered Veterinary Technician

Kerri graduated from the Northern College Veterinary Technician program in 2017 and achieved her Registered status shortly after. She joined the team in 2018, bringing with her a calm presence that clients get to enjoy when she helps in appointments. She has an avid interest in anesthesiology and laboratory procedures. Kerri’s goal is to one day bring more comprehensive veterinary care to her hometown of Moosonee, and in the meantime, she enjoys being a mom of two bright, active kids, hanging out with her dog Angel, and finding the magic and adventures in daily life.

Ricky Ann
Registered Veterinary Technician

RickyAnn is a Registered Veterinary Technician who graduated from Collège Boréal in 2016 and joined our team right after. Originally hailing from Hearst, she became a vet tech because of her lifelong passion for animals. Switching between assisting in appointments and then to surgery, plus managing all our large animal visits, keeps RickyAnn busy every day. She plays a fierce game of soccer when the season is right, and spends lots of time with her dog, Peppa, year round.

Veterinary Technician

Savannah has been part of our team on and off since 2013. We were lucky enough to welcome her on as a full time vet technician in April of 2015, after her graduation from Collège Boréal. You’ll usually find her getting appointments ready for the doctors, working hard on medical cases, or snuggling every Boxer that comes in the door. Savannah has 2 boxers named Booger and Vera. She also has 4 cats, Millie, Captain Cuddles, Davis, and Timmy.

Technician Assistant

Jessica joined us in August of 2012 and has been a bright, smiling face on our team ever since. Jessica (or ‘Jess,’ but never ‘Jessie’) is unshakable in an emergency, can do doggy nail trims in her sleep, and knows everything about our therapeutic laser. You’ll see her if your pet ever comes in for laser sessions, and we promise you’ll fall in love. She somehow even manages to find time to maintain our entire clinic inventory. Jessica lives with her daughters and her two cats, Teegan and Michu, and enjoys time at camp when she’s not here.

Technician Assistant

Education: Northern College
Hometown: Whitby, Ont
Pets: Colleen has two cats named Bartelby and Kiki

Colleen graduated from Northern College in 2011 and comes to us from Whitby, ON. She loves meeting our all our clients and their pets at the front desk and fielding all your phone calls and emails. Colleen has 6 cats, Kiki, Bartelby, The Goose, Chin Ho, Snerps, Visit, and a constant rotation of fosters. When not in the clinic, Colleen likes video games with dragons in them, talking to her cats, and tirelessly working to perfect her nacho recipe.

Jennifer is a crucial member of the reception team who started with us in 2018. You can find her at the front desk or nearby at the scanner, bent on helping us achieve our clinic dream of being fully digital and paper-free. It’s a long process, but Jen is a tireless warrior. When she’s not here or at one of her kids many, many sports games, she’s snowmobiling, knitting, or honouring her Newfoundland hometown with some fishing (ice or otherwise).
